Italy’s most important beauty pageant has chosen Jesolo as the stage for crowning the new Miss Italia.
Jesolo, the queen of the tourist towns, embraces and hosts thousands of aspiring Miss Italias who arrive from all over the country to compete for the sought-after sceptre and become the star of the most glamorous event of the summer hosted at the Pala Arrex and broadcasted live on La7 Television.
The first “Frecce Tricolori” aerobatic show along the Jesolo seafront was held in 1995 and it has been an annual tradition ever since.
Every summer, the National Frecce Tricolori Acrobatic Squad performs staggering feats to thousands of astonished tourists and natives admiring them from the beach.

Fish prepared and cooked in countless ways, sampling of typical wines plus dancing and live music: four ‘headers’ that will easily convince those who enjoy the atmosphere of town festivals which win your heart with the simplicity of a traditional dish and a glass of fine wine to savour in the company of friends. This is what the Feste Marinare have to offer. These special culinary events are sponsored by the City of Jesolo and organized by the Polisportiva Cortellazzo sports association to whet the appetites of fine food and wine lovers while presenting the entire family with the opportunity to listen and dance to the music.

The most anticipated event of the Jesolo summer programme is most definitely the fabulous fireworks display on 15 August.
A classic along the Venetian seaboard: an extraordinary array of fireworks that keep people of all ages with their noses in the air as they lie flat on their backs admiring a magical skyline of light. As tradition would have it, the fireworks are lit along the strand at Piazza Brescia.
A yearly appointment with internationally acclaimed artists who try their hand at sand sculpture. The exhibit’s leitmotif changes every year and really puts the creativity and skills of guest artists to the test!
The event stems from the classic “Sandcastles” festival hosted on the beach until a couple of summers ago. As of last year, the exhibit is held in the main squares of the city
Jesolo’s Vivaldi Auditorium is a movie theatre located near Piazza Brescia.
The theatre shows films that trace the history of filmmaking and include forgotten classics and art films. It also hosts plays and dance performances as well as jazz and classical music festivals. Every artistic season offers a broad range of events featuring prestigious artists.
Special Christmas and New Year’s concerts are always on the bill!
